Feeling Blessed! This is our euphoric feeling towards our best friend that no one can even replace, our dog’s love for us is unconditionally, and this is one of the reasons why Dog Day came about.
International Dog Day is celebrated every year on August 26. It is a day to respect them and of course to celebrate the special bond between dogs and humans and to encourage adoption.

HISTORY and PURPOSE
International Dog Day began as National Dog Day in the US in 2004 by Pet & Family Lifestyle Expert and Animal Advocate, Colleen Paige.
The day, August 26 is especially poignant for Colleen as it’s the date that Colleen’s family adopted her first dog “Sheltie” when she was 10 years old.
On their website, National Dog Day describes its aim as “to help galvanize the public to recognize the number of dogs that need to be rescued each year and acknowledges family dogs and dogs that work selflessly each day to save lives, keep us safe and bring comfort.”
Man’s Best Friend
Dogs are a man’s best friend for a reason, these furry friends range in all different shapes, sizes, and breeds. There is a dog out there for everyone! Whether you like big dogs or small dogs, every pup should be celebrated on Dog Day.

With this in mind, we invite you to make some kind of gesture, however small it may be, to make the most of this day and help make a pup just a little bit happier.
